We collect health-related data using smartphones and wearable devices to make sense of it and manage diabetes easily.

UX/UI designer

To our DiabetesLab team in Sopot we are looking for a UX / UI designer with graphical skills. Using data science, we are creating an innovative product for people living with diabetes. Data scientist

DiabetesLab is looking for a talented data scientist to work on analysing health related data.

Responsibilities:

  • Extract actionable insights from data using data mining and statistics
  • Work cross-functionally to identify problems in different areas where data mining/machine learning/statistics can help
  • Conduct studies, rapid pilots, and use advanced data mining and modelling techniques to define new therapy adjustments
  • Analyze data quality issues and identify missing data
  • Simplify and explain data science work to non-technical medical advisors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related discipline; Advanced degrees preferred
  • Extensive use of R, Matlab, or Python, and Linux
  • Understanding of statistical analysis, algorithm development, and advanced machine learning techniques
  • Commitment to creating reproducible, well-documented code
  • An independent and self-motivated work ethic
  • A proven, demonstrable track record of success
  • Successful participation on Kaggle is a plus

Front-end developer

DiabetesLab is looking for a talented front end developer to work on a web platform and hybrid iOS and Android apps.

The code written in JS for data visualization should meet highest requirements of reliability and performance, therefore experience in this area is highly desirable. An understanding of UX best practices and Python/Django will be highly beneficial.

Candidates should have a passion for technology and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving. They should be able to take ownership of business requirements and devise and develop solutions that meet the customers' needs. Time to market is critical.

Week-to-week tasks will involve development and integration of new features and enhancements of existing ones.

Requirements:

  • Experience with AngularJS
  • Very good working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, Twitter Bootstrap;
  • Knowledge of Ajax and cross domain scripting;
  • Proactive thinking and working closely with both designers and developers on building (mobile) web applications in an Agile environment;
  • OOA, OOD and programming patterns;
  • Problem-solving oriented;
  • Keen to learn new frameworks and languages;
  • Experience in integrating front-end code with RESTful APIs and web application frameworks;
  • Personal experience with type 1 diabetes is a plus;
  • Good English communication skills.

iOS developer

DiabetesLab is looking for an iOS developer to work on mobile applications with recommendations for people with diabetes. The role will comprise development of mobile applications which may include integration with HealthKit, working with the background state in iOS and a server API.

Candidates should have a passion for technology and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving. They should be able to take ownership of developing solutions to get the best performance and functionality.

Week-to-week tasks will involve development and integration of new applications and enhancements of existing ones.

Requirements

  • Experience in iOS. At least one app available for a download from the App Store.
  • Proficient in Objective-C/Swift.
  • Experience using Mercurial, Git or any other distributed version control system.
  • A passion for building beautiful user interfaces.
  • XCode or AppCode.
  • Fluent spoken English.
  • Proactive approach and good communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills. Creative and flexible attitude.
